Hello from Jonathan Ball

3 Books, 1 Movie, 1 Monthly Comic

Hello, Reader!

No details yet, but soon, soon, soon...

I hate to be a tease... but I just can't get into the details yet...

... let's just say it is going to be a banner year for me, and for Stranger Fiction.

First off, I have 3 new books this year. I will tell you more about them soon.

But you know about #1 already. Preorder LAST BREEDS now.

Also, I am not the ONLY person with new books on the horizon.

Frequent collaborators Steven Kaul and Lyndon Radchenka are currently running a Kickstarter for Book 2 of The Laundrymen.

Book 2 is a complete story and you don't need to have read Book 1. Please do them a solid and take a risk on it (although it's not a real risk, I can tell you that the book is great).

Support their Kickstarter here!

Plus, our movie The Princess & The Dragon will be streaming this year. I have been asked not to say more about it right yet, but yes, to all of you asking, you will get the chance to see it soon.

Plus, plus, plus ... a monthly comic is coming ... more soon, sooner than you expect ... in the meantime ...

Stay strange,

Jonathan

Hello from Jonathan Ball Another Year Dies Hello, Reader! Another year's dying on the vine. It's been hectic but good. I have VERY BIG NEWS coming your way from Stranger Fiction, but it's not coming yet. Let me forewarn you that SF will be VERY ACTIVE in 2026. You'll hear from me much more. Just a quick summary of a few highlights in the last while: Our movie had a private screening and got a great reaction. I'm speaking, of course, of THE PRINCESS AND THE DRAGON. Directed by Miles Crossman...

Hello Reader, This weekend, I'll be at PRAIRIE COMICS FESTIVAL (check them out here) representing Stranger Fiction (we have a booth) and myself (you can get all my books from me, and I'll sign them for you). I will also be on a panel Saturday, Sep. 6 @ 11 a.m. to discuss "Pitching to Publishers." I'll talk more then about best practices in general and also about how Stranger Fiction is NOW accepting submissions. Our submissions page is here! JEFF LEMIRE will also be at PCF! Come for him, one...

Hello Reader, As I write this, I am packing for a vacation. As you're reading it, I am driving back from said vacation. If I don't survive the vacation, this is my ghost speaking. Shortly, I will be teaching at the University of Winnipeg, doing some creative writing, horror, literature, and screenwriting classes. If you're signed up for my classes, see you soon! My main focus this year is not teaching, however, but ramping up the publishing program of Stranger Fiction. Recently, Deadline...
